In this gym we fight together, we respect each other's efforts. You are only defined by how hard you work. Giving up is not an option. Everyone breaks down their own walls

SUHANJ! Fitness is maintained by the SUHANJ! Foundation

SUHANJ! was founded in 2010 as a non-profit organization with the aim to share the joy of sports with handicapped people. An integrative sport club, where healthy and disabled people can exercise together. A movement of committed volunteers and amateur athletes. A foundation that provides opportunities for training for visually impaired and physically challenged people.

SUHANJ! organizes sport programmes for people living with physical and mental disabilities; weekly trainings in several sports, awareness-raising projects and so on. Our handicapped athletes also participate in competitions with the help of our volunteers.

The SUHANJ! Foundation’s goals of public utility

    1. Health protection, disease prevention: Expanding the opportunities for sport for families with a disabled child, and providing the necessary equipment for it.
    2. Facilitate equal opportunities for socially marginalized people: with awareness raising campaigns and social programmes for healthy and disabled children can meet we battle the everyday prejudices against handicapped people
    3. Organizing charity sport programmes in line with the aims of the foundation.

    SUHANJ! Fitness

SUHANJ! Fitness is our country’s first integrative gym which is accessible for visually impaired and physically handicapped people. It is found at 6. Tátra Street, about 100 meters from Jászai Mari Square, where it welcomes the guests on 500 square meters.

For us, accessibility means not just the entrance. Our gym is equipped with accessible toilets and changing rooms, the movement of our visually impaired guests is helped by special guides, and our machines are especially made to be available for people in wheelchairs.

Such machines can also be used – with adult supervision – by physically challenged children, and are also accessible for visually impaired people.

The gym operates as a social enterprise, employing disabled people and people with health conditions.

We organize skill- and motor development trainings for disabled children. Our classes are integrative and our coaches receive special training to be able provide the necessary help for our disabled guests. Some of our trainings – open for healthy and disabled guests - are held by handicapped athletes.

As a kid I started activity with Shuri-te Karate. I reached black belt in Japan and after moving back to Hungary I tried a newly rediscovered workout form where people getting stronger and improving their stamina with the movements of heavy ironballs. I immediately fell in love with kettlebell training which was quite similar to martial arts (balance between flexing and releasing, high concentration, push your limits). And also my backaches were gone in a very short time which was proved when I stopped training for a month and the pain was back. In 2010 I get my kettlebell instructor degree in Pavel Tsatsuline's course. The quality of everyday life could be improved by resetting the appropriate and anatomically correct movements of body and my goal is to help as many people as I can in this process. In SUHANJ! Fitness my aim is not just to show the right kettlebell techniques but to teach the physics behind these liftings which could be useful in sports or in our every days.

I've graduated as an aerobic and bodybuilding instructor at Semmelweis University on Physical Education and Sportscience faculty, and also get qualified as a sportmanager. I've also get a degree in traditional thai massage, rehabilitational trainer and pilates instructor. As a trainer I found out that people enjoy working out if they don't get bored, if they forget that the exercises are hard to do and if they realize that they can finish a class in good mood. That's why I like to do dinamic, cheerful classes which are beneficial but also entertaining in the same time. As a personal trainer I was working with professional athletes – tennis and football players, rowers, fitness competitors – to improve their stamina and strength. I also helped them through rehabilitation and regaining their shape. But beside athletes I'm more than happy to help everybody in stamina improvement or keep health and fitness in everyday life.

I’ve been doing sports since I was 18. I started BrutalRun, FightersRun, Legion Run and Spartan Race and completed my first half marathon and 30 km in 2014. I finished a marathon and the Spartan Trifecta in 2015, the Ultra Beast in 2016. My most important trainings are Boot Camp, Cross training, functional training, suspension trainings. I believe that our boundaries are relative and we may step over them again and again. I’m constantly searching for new adventures and support others to do so. I love motivating and inspiring others, therefore, I completed the fitness instructor and Boot Camp trainer qualifications. I became a personal trainer in January 2018. I am visually impaired, however, sport gave me the feeling that I can achieve anything I want in life and my disability can never prevent me of doing so.

Sport has been a crucial part of my life since I was a child; therefore it was no question what I wanted to study after high school. I graduated in 2014 from the University of Physical Education, having completed a BSc in Human Kinesiology. I completed my Masters abroad, studying sport rehabilitation and health development in Rome. During a one year internship I held individual strength trainings and rehabilitation classes, and TRX and Circuit trainings for classes at one of the FIFA partner institutes. In the past years I have participated in several specialist courses, for example learning the usage of SMR foam roller and Kinesio-tape.

I’d like to use my professional knowledge to help you reach your goals, let it be losing weight, increasing muscle strength or rehabilitation after an injury. Everything is easier together!

I was the first one in a wheelchair to complete the kranking instructor course in the FittCollege Képzési Központ of Csaba Tar. Kranking is the best form of training for me as a coach and also as an athlete. In the past 4 years I have held open classes for thousands in the Fitt Arena events with the aim to make indoor sports more popular for disabled persons as well.

I have been in the national wheelchair basketball team for years and I am part of the handbike team of SUHANJ! since 2011. With many handbike marathons and half marathons behind me I firmly believe that more people – healthy and disabled – should participate in sports as it gives company, connections, entertainment and a special experience. In 2015 I have participated in my first international race at the Berlin Marathon.

I am continuously studying to enhance my skills and to provide creative, fun trainings. I have received a Back Roll certificate in 2015 and a Fit Stik diploma in 2016.

I was a very active kid altough my asthmatic conditions didn't allow intensive sport activity. But I always had my favourite sports in winter or summer time (skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, tennis, football, swimming, cycling, skateboarding). At university through my physiotherapist degree I've learnt that complex nervous coordination, balance and muscle  power is needed for basic body movements and I tried to use and improve this system knowingly.  First I found this challange in wall and mountain climbing and later in TRX training. I used this equipment in rehabilitation and prevention through my carrer very succesfully.

If you would like to challange yourself and get to know the joy of complex functional training provided by TRX join my classes because it's good to hang out.

I am student at the University of Physical Education, studying health education, rehabilitation, and physical education. Sport has always been in my life. I swam competitively for 10 years. Now swimming has become part of my work as I am holding swimming classes at SUHANJ! and I am assistant coach by the TFSE team as well. Besides swimming, I played basketball and volleyball for 5 years. Currently I am road cycling.

With the opening of SUHANJ! Fitness I started doing spinning. I am holding spinning and circuit training classes in the integrative gym. My aim is to provide opportunity for regular exercise and healthy lifestyle, and that the guests learn the joy of sports during my trainings. Because, as we know, it’s not about “having” time for something, it’s about making time.

I started my sports career with 8 years of gymnastics, followed by karate, athletics and rowing. When I had to choose my profession, it was no doubt that I’d become trainer. I have a degree as an aerobics and gymnastics trainer. I’ve been working in various gyms in Budapest since 2016 as TRX, cross training and hot iron trainer. It was pretty hard to leave competitive sports after 20 years, thus, I regularly attend certain BSI running races and other Spartan races. In addition, I set a certain goal each year; my next goal is completing a marathon. Apart from working, I keep on improving myself as a trainer; I completed a course on stretching techniques and the proper use of SMR trainer.  I’m looking forward to seeing you on my classes, irrespective of what your goal is.
